Recover from a corrupt Bitlocker disk / drive

Encryption is usefull, especially for your private files you want to keep secret. Bitlocker is the easy way to encrypt files and folders and is built into windows.

But when bitlocker fails, your private files are not visible. And thats an issue I had today.
The Unlock Bitlocker window stated: Not Responding

When you face issues using Bitlocker, you can restore your protected file using the following method in Windows 7:
1) Fill in this command in the elevated command prompt: manage-bde -unlock f: -recoverypassword here your code

2) See if your drive has a name in Explorer

3) Run chkdsk f: /r

2) If the drive fails you can install the recover
