Make the “Remember my credentials” checkbox work

When using Internet Explorer to browse secure websites, the Windows Security window appears:

When selecting Remember my Credentials the next time you open the website, the same window shows up asking you (again) for your credentials.

Here is how to get rid of the ever showing Windows Security windows.

Open Internet Explorer
Open the Options window image
Click on Security and select Local Intranet

Click on Sites

Click on Advanced SNAGHTMLde8a85
Enter the name of the website where the credentials must be savedClick on Add

Click on Close

Click on Ok

Click on Ok

The next time a website asks for your credentials and you select Remember my Credentials they will be saved.
