USB devices not visible in Desktop Viewer when using XenDesktop 7

XenDesktop allows users to use USB devices within their session. This feature requires that the administrator has setup a policy rule to allow USB redirection and the USB device is support on the VDI or SBC desktop.

Using XenDesktop 7 the button Devices went missing.

Hereby the solution to get the Devices button back.

Check if the files C:\Windows\System32\drivers\ctxusbr.sys and C:\Windows\System32\drivers\ctxusbm.sys exist on the Virtual Desktop or SBC Server.

If not:

1. On the client where Citrix Receiver is installed browse to C:\Program Files (x86)\Citrix\ICA Client\Drivers64\ctxusbr

and

C:\Program Files (x86)\Citrix\ICA Client\Drivers64\ctxusbm

2. Copy the files from these folders to the XenDesktop VDI Desktop or the XenDesktop App server or XenApp Server. The location on the server is: C:\Windows\System32\drivers

Check if the following policy is enabled:

Set up a connection to the Desktop and check if the Devices button has returned and has values:

27-8-2013 22-50-39

I have exactly the same Problem on a Windows Server 2012, Xendesktop 7 App Edition. I have already copied the mentioned driver files, but this did not help. Devices bar is still missing in Desktop Viewer. Now I have opened a support case with Citrix…

Did you get a fix for this? I got a cardreader which works with XenDesktop 7 VDI but not with the appedition. I already added the dive to the white list of usb devices.
