Oracle ODBC Drive Configuration error

Unable to connect
SQLstate=IM004
[Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Driver’s SQLAllocHandle on SQL_HANDLE_ENV failed

Solution(s):

  • Check the system variable ORACLE_HOME, it should point to the installation folder of the Oracle client
  • Check the system variable PATH, it should contain ;%ORACLE_HOME%\bin;.
  • There is a . (dot) behind the ; sign in the PATH system environment variable.
